Clifford Francis Schlosser was born on October 5, 1930, in Mott, North Dakota, the son of Francis and Otelia (Wagner) Schlosser. He grew up in Mott and graduated from Mott High School in 1948. In 1950, Cliff enlisted in the Army National Guard of North Dakota. He served for three years and was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal. Cliff then graduated from Valley City State College and earned his Masters degree in Education form the University of North Dakota. On August 13, 1959, in Lidgerwood, North Dakota, Cliff was united in marriage to Sandra Ann Haas. They made their home in Campbell, Minnesota where he was employed as a school principal and coach. From 1960 to 1966, Cliff was the school principal in Ada. From 1966 to 1972, was the school principal in Pipestone and from 1972 until his retirement in 1991, was school principal in the Willmar School District. Cliff was a lifelong and faithful Catholic. He was a member of the Church of St. Mary, the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion Post. Cliff served on the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals, was involved with the Principal Leadership Program of the Bush Foundation, member of the North Central Association State Advisory Committee and received Honorary State Farm and Honorary American Farmer degrees from the Future Farmers of America.

Cliff was passionate about both his family and his job as a high school principal. As a principal, he truly enjoyed working with both the staff and students at school. The door to his office was rarely closed; he believed in being involved in the life of the students with whom he worked. He was able to find the good in his students and to connect with them. Cliff positively impacted many during his time as a high school principal. He loved going to work every morning.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy of Willmar and four children, David Schlosser of Northfield, Mary Schlosser of Willmar, Mark Schlosser of Willmar and Jon Schlosser of St. Louis, MO. Also surviving is one brother, Reynold (and Carol) Schlosser of Waseca, besides other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and five sisters.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Prairie Senior Cottages in Hutchinson, Minnesota for their kindness and exceptional care of Cliff.
