Ashley Bratsch

Ashely R. Bratsch, age 27, of Clara City, died unexpectedly Saturday, Mar. 24, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.


Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 30, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 2, at Elim Lutheran Church, 16307 141st Ave, Osakis, MN 56380.


Ashely Renee Bratsch was born on January 9, 1991, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was adopted at 5 months old by James and Victoria (Loxtercamp) Barten and they made their home in Sauk Centre. Ashley graduated from Sauk Centre High School in 2009 and attended the Ridgewater College School of Cosmetology. On August 2, 2014, in Arizona, Ashely was united in marriage to Travis Ray Bratsch. They made their home in Clara City. Ashley worked for a time at Safe Avenues in Willmar and currently employed with Spotless Cleaning in New London. Her hobbies included camping, fishing, target shooting and dressing up her step-children. She enjoyed helping others in times of need and spending time with her friends.


She is survived by her husband, Travis of Clara City; six step-children, Tyler Bratsch, Brady Bratsch, Austin Bratsch, all of Clara City, Mariya Bratsch, Billy Bratsch and Emilee Bratsch all of Raymond; and one step-grandson, Trentyn Sheppard-Bratsch. Also surviving are her parents, James and Victoria Barten of Sauk Centre; four siblings, Nathan (and JJ) Barten of Ramsey, Travis Barten of Murdock, Amber Barten of Albany and Dustin Barten of Wadena; mother-in-law, Mary Sletta of Clara City; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeremy Bratsch of Clara City, Tony (and Alicia) Stans of White Bear Lake, Trista Stans of Princeton, Kari Broers of Windom and Will Broers of Windom; and multiple nieces and nephews, besides other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
