Aaren Glesne

Aaren A. Glesne, age 21, of Sunburg, died Sunday morning, March 15, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, at Hope Lutheran Church in Sunburg. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, March 20, at Hope Lutheran Church and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Kandiyohi County Humane Society are preferred.

Aaren Alan Glesne was born on February 27, 1994, in Willmar, Minnesota, the son of Kent and Lori (Gafkjen) Glesne. He grew up in the Sunburg community and was baptized and confirmed at Hope Lutheran Church. Aaren graduated from KMS High School in 2012 and from Ridgewater Technical College in 2014. While in school at KMS, Aaren was a 3 sport athlete, competing in football, basketball and baseball and played legion ball in Kerkhoven. He participated in the Post Secondary Agriculture Study and traveled to many cities with that program. Aaren was employed at Fosso Farms and most recently employed with Bakko Brothers. Aaren enjoyed farming, cattle, horses, hunting ducks, deer and coons, riding in ranch rodeos, training his coon dog and playing co-ed softball.

He is survived by his parents, Kent and Lori of Sunburg; his sister, Andrea Glesne of Sunburg; grandparents, LaVonne Tonn of Sartell, Douglas Glesne and Ardis Knight of Sunburg and Roger and Mary Gafkjen of Brooten, besides other relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Hank Tonn.
